This 3 hour course for couples will be ideal for all parents or parents-to-be and grandparents, as it focuses first aid for babies and toddlers (as babies don’t stay babies) and will give you the confidence to know what to do in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Course content:

Primary (dealing with an emergency) care:

​

• Prevention – making your home safer for your baby growing into toddlers

• Scene safety – looking after yourself

• Unconsciousness (breathing and not breathing)

• Infant, Child and Adult recovery position

• Infant, Child and Adult rescue breaths, resuscitation and CPR

• Infant, Child and adult choking

• Drowning

• Where to get help/ what medical services are available locally

• The courses are all very practical and there will be a chance to practice these newly learned skills on manikins.

Cost: The course costs for the 3 hour course is £45.00 per person or £85.00 for a couple. This includes a certificate and a first aid book.
