Cancellation Policy

 

Antenatal Courses:

 

More than 21 days in advance: If you wish to cancel your place on the course, please let us know at the earliest possible time, as we usually have parents on the waiting list and may be able to allocate the space to someone else. A fee for administration of £75 is always retained.


Less than 21 days in advance: If we receive your cancellation less than 21 days before the start of your course we will retain 50% of your course fee to cover our overhead costs (hall hire etc.)


Less than 7 days: Should you have to cancel less than 7 days prior to your course commencing we will normally be unable to refund your course fee.


Special circumstances: In special circumstances (e.g. baby arriving earlier than expected) cancellation fees will not be applied, although we will still deduct a £75 fee for administration.


Once the course starts: Should you have to cancel once your course commences we will normally be unable to refund your course fee.

Baby Massage and First Aid Courses:
The deposit is non refundable, to cover admin costs.

Privacy

 

This site is owned and operated by Baby Matters. Your privacy on the Internet is of the utmost importance to us. Because we gather certain types of information about our users, we feel you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it.


Information Baby Matters Gathers


Baby Matters gather information about users: Information submitted using the “Contact us” page’s email submission form or booking forms. No debit card or other payment information is submitted or retained by Baby Matters. We store your information securely on our computer systems, we carefully restrict access to those who have a need to know, and we train our staff in handling the information securely.


Cookies
We may place a text file called a “cookie” in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain Personal Information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Baby Matters uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above).
You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you’ve set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site.

Recording & Sharing of Information

We will only record your e-mail address and telephone number if you send us a message or fill in our enquiry form. Your e-mail address will only be used for operational needs .We will only send e-mails and parenting Newsletters to you if you have booked and signed a bookings form.

We will not provide your personal information to other third parties. However as we are running a promotion with Vicky photography and Vanessa Hodge (for Yoga and Hypnobirthing) we will be giving your details to them BUT ONLY if you have explicitly given permission to do this by booking on a course or filling in our bookings form.

Controlling your Personal Information

Babymatters aim to remain GDPR compliant.

You have the right to be informed: that’s what this page is for!
The right of access: individuals will have the right to ask—and receive an answer—if an organization is processing their data. This information must be provided largely for free within one month of request.
The right to rectification: if your data is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected.

The right to be forgotten: You may request the removal of your data, for example, you can be removed from the mailing list by contacting Debra on Debra@babymatters-uk.co.uk.
